The Nineties saw the appearance on the pistes of a congenial green fir tree, Conte of Florence’s mascot for its ecological initiative devoted to the reforestation of mountain sides following the construction of ski runs. Thanks to the collaboration of the Italian Ski Federation and great support from consumers who bought apparel bearing the Ecoski tag, thousands of fir tree saplings are donated to the biggest ski resorts every year.
